The network's infrastructure is supported by nearly 50,000 full nodes, and ZEN can be staked to participate in this network.

Developers can deploy blockchains within the Horizen ecosystem using various SDKs. In 2023, Horizen launched EON, a public proof-of-stake sidechain and EVM-compatible smart contracting platform. This platform allows developers to build and deploy decentralized applications (dapps) efficiently, benefiting from the Ethereum ecosystem.
